AHS Receives Bronze Award for Greatest Gains in Student Achievement!

Governor Deal announced that 218 Georgia public schools in 53 districts will receive 2016 Highest Performing or Greatest Gains school awards, an increase of 31 schools from last year. The 2016 Greatest Gains award winners consist of 139 schools across 50 districts, and the 2016 Highest Performing award winners consist of 130 schools across 22 districts. Armuchee High School is the only school in the five-county area (Chattooga/Trion, Rome/Floyd, Gordon/Calhoun, Cartersville/Bartow and Polk) to receive such a prestigious award!

The school awards are part of Georgia’s Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS). Highest Performing schools must earn a three-year average College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile of all schools. Greatest Gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile.
This award is a testament to the hard work of the staff, students and parents at Armuchee High School and their commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations!
